Toshiba’s scope of work includes design, manufacture, test and supply of equipmentrelated to the steam turbine generator. “Just as Tata Power was the first company to usher in the era of 500 MW units in India, it has also notched another first — the 800 MW era,” stated a release from the company.
Mr. Prasad R. Menon, Managing Director, Tata Power, said, “This partnership will provide an excellent technical solution for Mundra UMPP, which is also cost competitive.”
