Portal for monitoring hydro projects launched

NEW DELHI: Union Minister for Power, Sushil Kumar Shinde on Friday launched ‘Hydropowernet’, a web-based management information system (MIS) (http://hydropowernet.gov.in) developed by the Ministry for online monitoring o f hydro power projects at a function in the Capital. It also provides a platform for data sharing between various hydro utilities, the Central Electricity Authority (CEA) and the Ministry of Power (MOP).
