London: Andrew Flintoff returned to the England squad for the first four one-dayers of the seven-match cricket series against India starting from August 21. However, his return to action would be subject to regaining full fitness from the right ankle surgery, which forced him out of the ongoing Test series. Flintoff has also been named in the 15-member squad for next month’s Twenty20 World Championship in South Africa. “We are pleased to welcome Ravi Bopara and Andrew Flintoff back to the squad and we will continue to monitor Andrew’s rehabilitation from his ankle injury closely in the run-up to the tournament against India,” Chairman of Selectors David Graveney said. The team: For ODI series vs. India: Paul Collingwood (capt.), James Anderson, Ian Bell, Ravi Bopara, Stuart Broad, Alastair Cook, Andrew Flintoff, Dimitri Mascarenhas, Monty Panesar, Kevin Pietersen, Matthew Prior, O wais Shah, Ryan Sidebottom and Chris Tremlett. For Twenty20 World Championship: Paul Collingwood (capt.), Ravi Bopara, Stuart Broad, Andrew Flintoff, James Kirtley, Darren Maddy, Kevin Pietersen, Matthew Prior, Chris Schofield, Owais Shah, Ryan Sidebottom, Jeremy Sna pe, Vikram Solanki, Chris Tremlett and Luke Wright. — PTI
