Don Bosco, Mount Carmel bag titles

IRINJALAKUDA: Don Bosco HSS bounced back strongly and won the boys’ title in the 24th Don Bosco all-Kerala inter-school basketball tournament here on Monday evening, defeating St Joseph’s (Thiruvananthapuram) 77-59.

Earlier, Mount Carmel, Kottayam, won the girls’ title with a comfortable 54-23 victory over Little Flower HSS (Koratty).

The results: Boys final: Don Bosco, Irinjaklakuda 77 (Amit Sebastian 22, Avin P.Jose 19, Vinu Vincent 10) bt St Joseph’s, Thiruvanathapuram 59 (Jinson Elvin 15, Sarath Mohan 12, Vaisak 10). Semifinals: St Josep h’s 79 (Sarath Mohan 17, Jinson Davis 15, Vysakh 10) bt Cherupushpam, Chandanakampara 56 (C.B.Manu Kumar 19, Vineeth Kumar 16, Sudeesh Surendran 11); Don Bosco 77 (Arjun Krishna 12, Amith Sebastian 12, Avin Mathew 10) bt Girideepam, Kottayam 32.
