Pottekkat chess

KOZHIKDOE: The S.K. Pottekkat FIDE rating all-India chess tournament opens at the S.K. Pottekkat Cultural Centre here on Tuesday. About 150 players, including four International Masters, are expected for the tournament.

The event, which carries a total prize fund of Rs. 1 lakh including a first prize of Rs. 20,000, will be played over 10 Swiss rounds. The tournament concludes on August 12.
