Haneef shines

TIRUCHI: S. Mohammed Ibrahim Haneef’s five-wicket haul helped Tuticorin defeat Dharmapuri by four wickets in a league encounter of the TNCA under-13 inter-district cricket tournament here on Sunday.

Tuticorin and Ramanathapuram have qualified for the next stage from D zone.

The scores: Dharmapuri 91 in 45.2 overs (S. Mohammed Ibrahim Haneef five for 18) lost to Tuticorin 92 for six in 27.3 overs (S. Winston Churchill three for 22). Ramanathapuram 200 for six in 50 overs (S. Shanmuganatha Prabhu 71, M. Ba lamanivannan 30) bt Tiruchi 150 in 45.2 overs (Prathap Joseph Aruldas 39, M. Sultan Ameer Khan four for 27, M. Sanjeev Kumar three for 25).
