Earlier, he met Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik and discussed with him various issues concerning the State.

With regard to senior BJP leader Jual Oram’s criticism of the Chief Minister and opposition to leasing out of Khandadhar iron ore mines to POSCO-India, Mr. Singh said he and the party’s Orissa in-charge Vinay Katiyar had discussed the issue with Mr. Oram and the latter had felt sorry for making certain remarks against Mr. Patnaik “emotionally”.

“Mr. Oram has already admitted that he should not have made any such remarks against the Chief Minister. The issue has been jufully resolved,” added Mr. Katiyar.
