Amara Raja profit up

CHENNAI: Amara Raja Batteries has recorded revenues of Rs. 217.39 crore in the three months ended June 30, 2007, a rise of 70.3 per cent over the year-ago period. The net profit has risen by 90 per cent to Rs. 17.91 crore against Rs. 9.42 crore. According to Jayadev Galla, Managing Director, the buoyant growth in automotive, telecom and UPS segments has driven the growth this quarter.
