TDP ready with action plan on land issue

Correspondent

Kakinada: The TDP is having its own plan of action for solving the land problems and implement the same in coming days enlisting the support of the like-minded parties, said Yanamala Ramakrishnudu TDP Polit Bureau member and former Finance Minister.

At a press conference here on Sunday, he claimed that TDP government was the first to implement pucca housing programme for the poor and also in distribution of lands to the landless. He said over one lakh acres were distributed to the poor during the TDP’s regime.

He described how Chief Minister Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy hurled abuses using unparliamentary language setting aside all the democratic norms in the Assemble. Instead of solving the land problems, he said, the Chief Minister had exhibited his dictatorial tendency. More over, he said, the Chief Minister had openly announced that lands would not be distributed in urban areas.
