Ahlcon School advances

NEW DELHI: Ahlcon School defeated Maharaja Agrasen School 2-1 to move into the under-16 boys’ quarterfinals in the third ASN Delhi State inter-school badminton championship at the Siri Fort Sports Complex here.

The results: Team championship (all pre-quarterfinals): Under-19: DAV (Shreshta Vihar) bt New Era 2-0; Lovely PS (Priyadarshini Vihar) bt Siddharth International 2-0. U-16: ASN bt St. Joseph 2-1; Ahlcon bt Maharaja A grasen 2-1. U-13: Ahlcon bt Apeejay (Noida) 2-0; ASN ‘B’ bt Citizen Model 2-0; Rukmani Devi (Pitampura) bt Modern School (Barakhamba Road) 2-0; ASN ‘A’ bt Bal Bharatiya (Rajender Nagar) 2-1.

Individual: U-10: Quarterfinals: Arjun bt Ishan Aggarwal 21-9, 21-6; Rahul Patel bt Deepanshu 21-11, 21-9; Arinjay Bisht bt Suraj 21-7, 21-9.

Girls: Team: U-16: Pre-quarterfinals: Holy Child bt Ahlcon 2-1; New Era bt Mount Carmel (Dwaraka) 2-0.

Individual: U-10: Quarterfinals: Kanika Kanwal bt Shivani Walia 21-9, 21-7; Divya bt Bhavya Rishi 21-13, 21-15.
