TIRUCHI: Tense moments prevailed for some time after a group of people squatted on the road in Thennur here on Saturday demanding free colour television sets while they were about to be distributed to people of certain areas of the 51st ward here. Sources said people carrying tokens were waiting outside a private school where the TV sets was to be distributed. At this juncture, a group of different area, but belonging to the same ward, arrived there and demanded free TV sets. They squatted on the road blocking traffic. However, things were brought under control immediately.
