Vayudooth BC advances

Vayudooth Basketball Club, Chennai, entered the quarterfinals of the TN State women’s volleyball championship defeating SAI, Salem, 49-18 at Karaikudi on Friday.

Christhu Jothi wins

Christhu Jothi HSS, Causanelpuram, won the boys’ title with an unbeaten record (15 points in a six-team event) in the Tirunelveli District inter-panchayat union sub-junior hockey league championship for the Sarah Trophy.

The girls’ title was won by Sarah Tucker HSS (7 points, four-team event) at the Anna Stadium, Palayamkottai on Thursday.

Vaiyapuri MHSS, Sankarankoil finished runner-up (9) in the boys’ section while Veera Ulagammal Middle School, Checkadioor, finished runner-up (4) in girls.
