GVMC triumphs

VISAKHAPATNAM: Greater Visakhapatnam Municipal Corporation regained the VDCA institutions league title after several seasons, by beating Naval Dockyard by eight wickets here on Friday for an all-win record in the super league.Cargo Handlers Pool, winner last season, finished runner-up this time. It beat L.G. Polymers by 120 runs in another match.

The scores: Naval Dockyard 119 in 29.1 overs lost to G.V.M.C. 125 for two in 13.3 overs (Y. Ram Kishore 43 n.o.).

Cargo Handlers Pool 208 for nine in 30 overs (Ram Mohan 63, D.V. Appa Rao five for 40) bt L.G. Polymers 88 in 18.2 overs (R. Appa Rao five for 26).
