CHENNAI: TVS Interconnect Systems Ltd. (TVSICS), a wholly owned subsidiary of TV Sundram Iyengar & Sons Ltd., has acquired Ramco Infotech Solutions Ltd. (RITS), a wholly owned subsidiary of Ramco Systems, for an undisclosed sum. TVSICS has acquired the entire paid-up capital of RITS. It may be mentioned that Ramco Systems’ secure converged networking division (SCN) was spun off as a 100 per cent subsidiary. Ramco Systems divested its stake in the subsidiary so as to focus on its core business of software development. RITS provides networking and information security solutions and services to institutional customers across industry verticals. TVSICS, over a period, has evolved into an organisation providing network infrastructure solutions in the telecom, government and aviation sectors. It is engaged in the business of providing wireless solutions, carrier solutions, project management services, networking solutions and manufacturing of telecom related equipment. In its pursuit for accelerated growth, the company is focusing on the telecom and network infrastructure businesses, says a release from the company. The acquisition would enable TVSICS to play a major role as a global systems integrator for the entire network infrastructure.
