Parents unaware of son’s sentence

Sangareddy: Parents of Pullagurla Venkateswara Reddy, who was sentenced to 11 years in jail for raping a 20-year-old girl and murdering Jelena Ivenisevic, his fellow student in the University of Gothenburg in Sweden, were not aware of their son’s whereabouts.
The news of Venkateswara Reddy’s tale has not reached the small village of Ghanapur in Thoguta near Siddipet. Venkateswar Reddy is the only son of Tirupathi Reddy and Janamma who spent almost Rs 5 lakh to fulfil their son’s dream to study molecular biology in Sweden.
Tirupathi Reddy said that his son called him only a week ago to say that he was doing fine.
The poor parents plan to seek the help of the local MP Sarve Satyanarayana to contact their son.
