Bangalore: Tumkur Zone managed to eke out a draw against President’s XI in a S.A. Srinivasan memorial inter-zonal under-22 tournament match here on Wednesday. President’s XI declared its first innings at 353 for nine in 76.5 overs. In reply, Tumkur Zone mustered 108 in its first innings with B.C. Tarun Muthanna bagging six wickets. Following on Tumkur, scored 86 for five in its second innings and avoided an innings defeat. The scores: President’s XI 353 for nine decl. in 76.5 overs (Ganesh Satish 163, S. Vinodh 92, Vikram Gowda four for 99) drew with Tumkur Zone 109 in 38.1 overs (B.C. Tarun Muthanna six for 34) and 86 for five in 32 overs (N. Raje sh 43 n.o.). Dharwad Zone 135 in 54 overs (Abrar Kazi five for 23, Hardik Munhot five for 43) drew with Bangalore Zone 234 for seven in 59 overs (S. Prajwal 76 n.o., Abrar Kazi 56). Combined City XI 206 for four decl. in 48 overs (Keshav Chitta 62) drew with Mangalore Zone 117 for eight in 43 overs (P. Magichandan four for 30). Shimoga Zone 212 in 59 overs (Salauddin five for 87) drew with Mysore Zone 179 for nine in 59 overs (H.R. Cheluvaraju 52, S.L. Akshay four for 39).
