KOCHI: The 51st Kerala State senior athletic championship will be the first meet on Kochi’s new synthetic track. The championship, along with the fifth State inter-club meet, will be held at the Maharaja’s College Stadium here from September 7 to 9. “We’re planning to have the synthetic track inauguration also on September 7,” said the Kerala State Athletics Association secretary Paul Aluvathingal on Monday. Kozhikode will host the junior State meet from November 2 to 4, while Malappuram will be the venue for the sub-junior meet on November 10 and 11. The inter-district cross-country meet will be held in Kannur on January 27. — Principal Correspondent
