AICC delegates to camp in Puducherry

Puducherry: Secretary of the All India Congress Committee (AICC) P. Sudhakar Reddy told The Hindu from Hyderabad over telephone on Tuesday that himself and observer of the AICC for the Presidential poll A.J.S. Ram Babu would camp in Puducherry for two days from Wednesday to monitor work for the Presidential poll slated for Thursday. Mr. Babu is the observer for the poll for the Union Territory,

He said that he had already asked the support of the Congress’ allies in the United Progressive Alliance and the three Independents for the UPA nominee Pratibha Patil. Mr.Reddy described it as “unfair and undemocratic”, the decision of the United National Progressive Alliance to boycott the poll.
