Somali talks put off

Half the expected 1,300 delegates fail to turn up for ailing Somali Government’s last chance to win support. Mortar attacks and the absence of key delegates on Sunday marred the start of a reconciliation congress in Somalia. With only half of the 1,300 delegates turning up, the conference was quickly adjourned until Thursday. —
