Thiruvananthapuram: The Congress block presidents’ meeting has demanded free ration to the viral fever afflicted areas in the State’s high ranges and coastal areas. The meeting presided over by the Thiruvananthapuram DCC president V.S. Sivakumar here on Saturday expressed concern over the spread of viral fever, chikungunya and dengue to other districts in the State. In a statement, Mr. Sivakumar said people living in coastal and high ranges in the capital district were unable to go for work owing to viral fever. The meeting protested against the failure of the Government to ensure adequate supply of medicines, induct more doctors and nurses in hospitals. – Special Correspondent
