Prakash passes the first test

NEWPORT (RHODE ISLAND): Wild card Prakash Amritraj notched up his maiden win on the ATP Tour this season, beating Serbian Ilia Bozolijac in the first round of the Hall of Fame championships here on Tuesday.

Prakash rallied from a set down to prevail 3-6, 6-3, 6-3.

With this win, the U.S.-based Indian has set up a second round clash with wild card Scovile Jenkins of USA.

Meanwhile, Aisam-ul-Haq Qureshi pulled off the biggest surprise when he upstaged the top-seeded American Mardy Fish 6-3, 6-4.
