Young pangolin rescued

It was found near the Velachery checkpost area

CHENNAI: Wildlife officials here rescued a young pangolin, found near the Velachery checkpost area early on Friday. According to officials, local people informed them of the movement of a strange animal in the area. When the officials went to the place, they saw the scaly anteater and brought it to their office in Velachery.

Officials said the animal would be kept in the office for a few days and would be released into the wild later.
