Micro-enterprise project for Pudukottai

TIRUCHI: The Tiruchi Productivity Council (TPC) is all set to implement a four-year micro-enterprise development project in Pudukottai on the lines of the Science and Technology Entrepreneurship Development (STED) programme, currently under way here.
The Department of Science, which funds the STED project in Tiruchi, has cleared the proposal to extend the project to Pudukottai at the policy level and the decision has been communicated to the TPC president, S. Sridharan, according to the secretary of the council, Raja Mutthirulandi.
He was speaking at the annual general meeting of the council here on Saturday.
The STED project is being implemented in Tiruchi region by the Tiruchi District Tiny and Small Scale Industries Association.
A total of 200 micro-enterprises are to be promoted.
