CHENNAI: A Fast Track Court here has sentenced eight persons to life imprisonment, having found guilty of a revenge killing in Chennai in May 2003.
Judge Raja Chockalingam awarded life-term to Francis, Raja, Senthil, Suresh, Koli Sekar, Babu, Sukumar and Jeeva for their involvement in the murder of Kathiravan.
The victim was killed in retaliation for the murder of Balaji on May 11, 2003. Kathiravan was murdered the next day. The first accused in the case, Sekar, died during the pendency of the case.
In another case, the FTC-II found two persons guilty of murder and sentenced them to imprisonment for life.
