New name for AC coaches

NEW DELHI: Sunday onwards, all air-conditioned coaches in long distance mail and express trains will have new nomenclature to make it easier for passengers, especially foreign tourists, to identify them.

East Central Railway Deputy General Manager K.K Chandra told PTI over telephone that the Railway Board has taken a decision under which all AC-2, AC-3 and AC-1 coaches in every train will now be known as coach A, B and H, while the AC chair cars will be known as Coach C. — PTI
