An outstanding institution

MGR Catering & Fashion Technology is a central government approved institute situated at Walajah. The number of seats available in this institute is 30 and it gives utmost care to every student’s to train them in catering and fashion courses.

The course structure is for a year and it has been divided into two (6 months). First six months they will be educated and trained in the college and the second half they will be given practical training in a 5 star hotel.

They also provide employment assistance to their students; some of the students have placed in overseas.

The institute has been chosen for Best Institute of Hotel Management award last year for its performance in training and placement. The institute has introduced a new course on fashion technology for the academic year 2007 – 2008 and they have plans to introduce more job oriented courses in the near future for the benefit of the rural students.
