HYDERABAD: The Judo Federation of India (JFI) will conduct selection trials for a coaching camp at the Netaji Subhash National Institute of Sports, Patiala on July 7 and 8, in preparation for the Asian youth and junior judo championships at Hyderabad from November 3 to 8. Judokas aged between 12 and 15 years of age, in addition to those under 20 years as on December 31, 2007 are eligible. Trials for the youth category will commence at 9 a.m. on July 7 and for the juniors at the same time the following day. Weigh-ins will be held at the venue between 7 and 8 a.m. Passports valid until May 2008 at least are required for participation in the trials. Only judokas registered with the JFI are eligible and need to pay an entry fee of Rs. 100. All expenses towards travel, board and lodging will be borne by the participants. A dope test will be conducted on completion of the trials. The coaching camp commences on July 9. Weight categories: Asian youth: 12-15 years: Boys: Under 38, 42, 46, 50, 55 and 60 kg; Over 60 but less than 73 kg. Girls: Under 45, 48, 52, 57, 63, 70, 78 and over 78 kg. — Special Correspondent
