Humpy ahead

NEW DELHI: Third seed K. Humpy defeated Dutch GM Karel van der Weide to emerge the sole leader with six points after seven rounds of the HSG Open at Hilversum, The Netherlands, on Tuesday.

Following her fifth victory, Humpy enjoys a half-point lead over fellow GMs Mikheil Mchedlishvili (Georgia) and Stelios Halkias (Greece). Two more rounds remain in the competition.
