MYSORE: The Krishna Raja Sagar and Kabini reservoirs near here have recorded a rise in the water level on account of heavy rain in their catchment areas of Bhagamandala in Kodagu district and Wayanad in Kerala. The water level at the Krishna Raja Sagar, which was 67.32 ft. on Saturday, reached 82.5 ft. on Monday, registering an increase of more than 15 ft in the past two days, according to sources in the Irrigation Department here. Similarly, the water level at the Kabini reservoir increased from 2264.42 ft. as against the maximum level of 2,284 ft. after a good inflow of 23,500 cusecs on Sunday, the sources the Irrigation Department said. — Staff Correspondent
