‘Kattige Muhurta’ on June 28

Udupi: Puttige Math will conduct “Kattige Muhurta”, third of the preliminary rituals before the next Paryaya, here on June 28. A press release issued by the math here on Monday stated that a procession as part of the event would begin from the math at 6.45 a.m. “Kattige Muhurta” would be held at the math at 7.30 a.m. Sri Sugunendra Tirtha Swamiji of Puttige Math would deliver a discourse at 8.15 a.m., the press release said. Sri Sugunendra Tirtha Swamiji would be ascending the “Paryaya Peetha” at Sri Krishna Temple for the third time on January 18, 2008, the press release said. — Staff Correspondent
