Cooperative society director electrocuted

KADAPA: A cooperative society director and a farmer were electrocuted while another ryot died of snake bite in Kadapa district.

Director of Lingapuram Cooperative Society Guruswamy, 32, was electrocuted in Nangunurupalle in Proddatur mandal on Friday evening. Guruswamy, who went along with friends to have tea, was electrocuted when he touched an electric pole and succumbed on way to hospital. Pagadala Pedda Chennaiah, 55, was electrocuted on coming into contact with live electric wires that snapped from an uprooted electric pole in Pedda Agraharam in Badvel mandal on Friday evening. Meanwhile, Mopuri Obulesu, 33, died of snake bite while he was asleep in his house in Reddikottala in Kasinayana mandal.
