Salem: An unbeaten 126 by P. Prem Prabhakar and a 71-run knock by Suresh Subramani saw Thoothukudi score a 225-run win over Thanjavur in the opening fixture of the TNCA under-15 inter-district (Stage 1) cricket tournament for A-Zone teams here on Saturday. After posting 304 for six in 50 overs, Thoothukudi bundled out its opponent for just 79. The scores: Stage 1: A-Zone: Kancheepuram DCA 182 for nine in 46 overs (Niranjan 57, Vijay Anand 40) bt Salem 111 for nine in 46 overs; Thoothukudi DCA 304 for six in 50 overs (P. Prem Prabhakar 126 not out, Suresh Subramani 71) bt Tha njavur 79.
