BHEL bags NTPC contract

NEW DELHI: Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL) has bagged a Rs. 139-crore order for supply of transformers to National Thermal Power Corporation (NTPC) for its various extension projects. According to an official statement here, the order is the single largest one placed with BHEL by NTPC for its Korba, Dadri and Farakka extension projects. The transformers would be manufactured at BHEL’s Bhopal and Jhansi plants.
