High Court order hailed

CHENNAI: National Federation of Indian Women (NIFW) State president R. Susheela has welcomed the Madras High Court order banning the media from publishing photographs of rape victims. The identity of the rape victims should be protected from the “glare of media and public eye” to safeguard their dignity.

Police officers should also prevent rape victims from being photographed, she said. — Special correspondent
