NEW DELHI: A Delhi police constable along with his accomplice has been arrested by the Economic Offences Wing (EOW) of the Crime Branch for allegedly submitting at the Police Commissioner's office a forged letter purportedly from a senior journalist requesting for an out-of-turn allotment of Government accommodation to him. The office of Police Commissioner K.K. Paul on Friday received the letter purportedly from the journalist with a reputed English daily, requesting for an out-of-turn allotment of Government accommodation to Constable Sunil Kumar Meena. On crosschecking with the journalist the police found that it was a forged letter and that the letterhead of the English daily had also been forged.
