House burgled

CHENNAI : Unidentified miscreants escaped with Rs. one lakh in cash and a few antique stones including diamonds stolen from a locked house in West Mambalam.

Police said Ramesh (47), a financier, residing on Moorthy Street, had been to see a relative at Sowcarpet along with his family members. When they returned home on Sunday, the almirah was found broken and the valuables missing. A case has been registered.
