BANGALORE: Anxious moments were witnessed at the Children's Home on NIMHANS campus on Saturday after officials there found a boy reportedly missing. Around 9 a.m. one of the boys, Bharath, informed the Children's Home staff that that he had seen a boy crawling into a narrow drain near the home. The worried staff took a headcount of the boys and found four-year-old Deepu missing. They asked Bharath to check if Deepu was caught in the drain. Bharath crawled a few feet into the drain and told the authorities that Deepu was there and he tugged at his hands, an official of the Children's Home told The Hindu. The authorities informed the Wilson Garden police and summoned the Fire and Emergency Services personnel. Bharath later confessed to the authorities that he had played a prank. Children's Home Superintendent Lakshminarasimhaiah said Deepu had gone home for a holiday.
