Bangalore: Syed Mouaz, a six-year-old boy from Bangalore, was killed in an accident in Manama, Bahrain. Speaking to The Hindu from Manama, Syed Arif, the boy's father, said his family had just finished shopping and were waiting to cross the road. "There was a car that was parked on the road, but not in the parking area. Another car was trying to get to the parking slot, but the first car was blocking the way. The car driver started honking and the driver of the parked car got angry, started his car and drove fast towards us," he said. Mr. Arif said the car hit him, his wife Yasmeen Taj and his elder son Syed Alsan, before running over Syed Mouaz. "It was over before we realised what had happened. My son started to bleed profusely. People rushed to help, especially one Pakistani national. We rushed Syed Mouaz to the hospital, but the doctors were not able to save him," he lamented. Mr. Arif, who works as an assistant sales manager at the Bahrain Aluminium Company, said his wife, elder son and he were injured in the accident. "My family had come from Bangalore to meet and stay with me for a few days. We did not expect this to happen. We are all returning to Bangalore," he said.
