Sandeep stuns Purushothaman

VIJAYAWADA: K. Sandeep Reddy shocked second seed T. Purushothaman in the second round of the Andhra Pradesh State FIDE-rated tournament here on Sunday.

Top seed Dasari Sai Srinivas had an easy outing defeating J.V. Sai Kiran, while under-12 Asian gold medallist Ch. Meher Chinna Reddy beat V. Varun without much difficulty. Forty-one players were in joint lead with two points at the end of the second round.
