Suicide by student

NEW DELHI: An 18-year-old girl allegedly committed suicide by taking poison in her house at Uttam Nagar in West Delhi on Saturday. She was apparently disappointed due to her failure to clear an engineering entrance test.

According to the police, Dipti had gone to see the result of her entrance test in the morning when she came to know that she had failed to clear it. She returned home and went into her room. When she did not come out till 5 p.m., her father went in and saw her writhing in agony. He rushed her to Chanan Devi Hospital but she could not be saved.
