MRF National Supercross on May 27

Coimbatore: The second round of the MRF National Supercross championship will be held near the Codissia Trade Fair Complex in Coimbatore on May 27.

The supercross event, a round of the FMSCI National championship 2007, is set to attract 110 riders from across the country. Karan Kadam of Bangalore, riding a TVS 250, currently leads the championship table with 37 points followed by Pune privateer Yogesh Barguje and C.S. Santosh of TVS Bangalore.

Briefing media persons here on Wednesday night, Shyam Kothari, President, Sportstrek, said a track plan measuring approximately 800m has been chalked out for the event, which will witness riders battling it out in eight categories.

"The circuit, specially designed by former motocross experts Pratap Bhagwat and Ashok Yande, will consist of a combination of eight double and single jumps, one triple jump and a table top measuring 100ft," said Mr. Kothari.
