Kartik enjoying his stint with Middlesex

DHAKA: Left-arm spinner Murali Kartik is enjoying his stint with Middlesex in the English county circuit.

A four-wicket haul against Somerset and another against the Northants shows the Railways cricketer is in good form.

Kartik said from London: "In England every pitch is different. As a bowler you are making adjustments everyday. I played on a flat pitch in the first game and had to bowl a lot. At the next game at Lord's I bowled only five as the ball was nipping around. So the process of adjustment is continuous. The pitches are a bit seamer friendly, but I have managed wickets in every game and helped the team win a couple of them."

Kartik enjoyed the pressure of being a professional. "The pressure is that you are looked up to when the team is in crisis and it is different when you play for your country. " Apart from Kartik, R.P. Singh too is engaged in the county circuit as a professional with Leicestershire. — Special Correspondent
