NEW DELHI: The Indian shooters failed to impress on the third day of the shooting World Cup at Bangkok on Monday. The best performance among the Indians was the 14th position in rapidfire pistol event by Vijay Kumar who shot a 572 out of 600. In the men's free rifle 3-position event, Gagan Narang shot 1152 out of 1200 to take the 36th position. Sanjeev Rajput with a 1150 was 46th. Rajput and Narang had shot much better in the elimination round the previous day to return scores of 1168 and 1163 respectively. Imran Hassan Khan failed to make the cut from the elimination round after a score of 1132. The results: Men: 50m free rifle 3-position: 1. Peter Sidi (Hun) 1273.1 (1174); 2. Qiu Jian (Chn) 1272.6(1176); 3. Vebjoern Berg (Nor) 1267.9 (1171); 36. Gagan Narang 1152; 46. Sanjeev Rajput 1150. 25m rapidfire pistol: 1. Sergei Alifirenko (Rus) 780.8 (581); 2. Iulian Raicea (Rou) 779.2 (585); 3. Yoon Sam Hwang (Kor) 777.9 (581); 14. Vijay Kumar 572; 36. Pemba Tamang 557; 42. Ronak Pandit 550.
