Rourkela : Bengal and host Orissa entered the semifinals of the 15th senior National women's football championship here on Monday. While Orissa crushed Chhatisgarh 8-1 in a Group-B, Bengal brushed aside Tamil Nadu 4-0 in their Group-C encounter.
A hat-trick by striker Rinku Ghosh helped Bengal lead 3-0 at the break while forward Papa Sarkar scored the other goal in the second session. In the Orissa-Chhatisgarh match striker Pinky Magar led the scorer's list with four goals followed by Supriya Samal, Sukumati Laguri, Sasmita Mallick and Asrita Kissan. — PTI
