Obobi Singh's wife to contest by-election

IMPHAL: By-elections in Manipur's Khangabok and Khundrakpam Assembly constituencies will be held on June 2, the Election Commission has announced.

Chief Minister Okram Ibobi Singh's wife Okram Landhoni will be the Congress candidate in Khangabok, which seat he resigned while retaining Thoubal. The by-election in Khundrakpam was caused by the death of the sitting member Thokchom Nabakumar on April 26. No common candidate has been announced.
