BSP leads again in exit poll

New Delhi: An exit poll held after the sixth phase of elections in Uttar Pradesh on Thursday showed the Bharatiya Janata Party and the ruling Samajwadi Party in second place.

The Bahujan Samaj Party continues to maintain the lead in the projections.

NDTV's exit poll predicted 120-130 seats for the BSP, 110-120 for both BJP and SP, 35-45 for the Congress and 10-20 for others in the 403-member Assembly.

It predicted 19-23 seats for the BSP, 16-20 for the SP, 9-13 for the BJP and up to three for the Congress in Thursday's voting in 52 constituencies.

An India TV-C Voter exit poll gave 17-21 seats for the BSP, 13-17 for the SP, 12-16 for the BJP, one to five for the Congress and as many to others in the sixth phase.
