Sharp rise in KEC Intl. net profit

NEW DELHI: Leading power transmission company, KEC International (KEC), has reported a revenue of Rs. 640.92 crore in the fourth quarter ended March 31, 2007, as compared to Rs. 478.38 crore in the corresponding period last year. The net profit shot up by 88 per cent to Rs. 30.18 crore. The company reported a 21 per cent growth in net sales for the whole of 2006-07 at Rs. 2,093.21 crore against Rs. 1,727.25 crore in 2005-06. The net profit stood at Rs. 104.63 crore against Rs. 49.31 crore.
