Perot Systems opens new centres

CHENNAI: Perot Systems Corporation of the U.S. has opened its new facility in Coimbatore with 250 professionals. It has also set up a unit in the Philippines with 75 people. The Coimbatore facility would hire over 500 people by the end of the year. The President and Chief Executive Officer, Peter Altabef, told reporters that Perot Systems at present had over 7,000 professionals. The company had centres in Bangalore, Chennai and Noida. He said the company expected to grow its India-based operations significantly to meet the increased demand for business process services by healthcare providers.
