Cistron defeat Veva to lift title

HYDERABAD: Cistron scored a 10-run win over Veva in the final of the Cistron-Veva Friendship Cup corporate cricket tournament here.

The scores: Cistron 185 for seven in 25 overs (Bharath 84) bt Veva 175 (Pramod 61, Kiran Keerthipathi four for 18).

SAI selections

The Sports Authority of India (SAI) will organise annual selection trials for admission to their Centres of Excellence in athletics, cycling, hockey (boys only) and judo from April 25 to May 8 in different phases.

Candidates in the age group of 17 to 22 years and ranked in the top six in individual events and team games at the junior\ senior National-level championships in their respective disciplines are eligible.
