Ponting wants Watson back

Melbourne: Unwilling to rely on part-timers as his fifth bowling option in the World Cup semifinals, Australian skipper Ricky Ponting is contemplating bringing injured all-rounder Shane Watson back into the side without any match practice.

Ponting said Watson was crucial to Australia's cricket World Cup plans and he was willing to take the risk of having him back in the team without a fitness test. — PTI
